Meet Our Dare to Hope Ambassadors

We’re honoured to welcome Dylan Moore of the Hawthorn Football Club as an official Dare to Hope Ambassador

💛🤎💜

Wearing Paul’s iconic number 13, Dylan won the inaugural Paul Dear Memorial Medal for most courageous player in 2022—just eight days after Paul’s died from pancreatic cancer. That moment marked the beginning of a special connection with the Dear family.

Now, alongside Calsher Dear, Dylan is helping carry the legacy forward. The two have already combined for 38 goals, igniting the forward line with a bond built on courage, trust, and shared purpose.

Like the late Paul Dear, Dylan was once told he wouldn’t make it. Selected at pick no. 67 in the draft and questioned for his size and agility, he defied the odds with relentless hard work, heart, and self-belief. Just as Paul surprised many when he claimed the Norm Smith Medal in 1991, Dylan has consistently risen above expectation—getting the absolute best out of himself every step of the way.

His journey reached a new high in 2024 with a richly deserved All-Australian selection.

Famous for urging his teammates to “bring your mouthguards to training,” Dylan leads by example—bringing intensity, grit, and a relentless belief in pushing beyond limits.

Dylan Moore embodies everything Dare to Hope stands for:
💪 Courage in adversity
🔥 Relentless determination
🌟 And above all, HOPE for better outcomes

Thank you so much for your friendship & support Dylan  💜
