My Dad Don

4 months after losing Paul - my Dad, Don Walford also died of pancreatic cancer. My Dad was only 21 when I was born. As the years moved on he became a friend to me as well as a loving Dad.
Dad was so central to our lives. A friend to Paul, and a loving and involved grandfather to our kids. We loved spending time with him. He was always so interested in whatever was going on in our lives (that's not to say that sometimes he didn't rush us off the phone to listen to the next race 🤣)
A youthful 77 when he died, he had been a very active and involved in life. Walking the dog daily, going shopping, cooking, catching up with friends and regularly watching his kids play sport. Pancreatic cancer took the last 7 months of his life and decimated him. It is such an aggressive and brutal disease. Watching my Dad wither away just 4 months after Paul was one of the worst times of my life. Please help us give a sucker punch back to this B**** of a disease. The only way we can do this is by funding research for better treatments and better outcomes. RIP Dad - I miss you every day. xxx
